This is more than just a catch phrase for us here at Cabinetry & Construction. We have always believed that remodeling is inherently greener than building a new house. Moreover, the close-in Richmond neighborhoods in which we work are the opposite of sprawl.

We are certified dealers and installers of Rinnai tankless water heaters. Conventional water tanks heat and store hot water around the clock, heating and re-heating water, and constantly losing energy up the vent and through the walls of the tank. We are certified dealers and installers of NuTone Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products. The NuTone ecoLogic product line includes split-system air conditioners, heat pumps, and furnaces along with self-contained air conditioners and dual-fuel units. Homeowners who purchase NuTone systems can achieve total home confort with compatible indoor air quality products such as humidifiers, electronic air cleaners and filters, and ultra-violet lights. We are also certified fabricators of Richlite® brand counters. Richlite is a solid surface material for the kitchen, bath, and other areas of the home. Richlite is made primarily of paper purchased from managed forests throughout North America. The paper is treated with resin then pressed and baked to create solid sheets, which are capable of long spans that don’t require extra support. As required by the US Environmental Protection Agency, Rob Wright is certified as a Lead-Safe contractor for following appropriate practices to prevent lead contamination while performing renovation on structures built before 1978.
Unlike natural stone, limited by color and natural effects, concrete can be made into virtually any color or color combination, making it a completely customizable product that we can use to create a unique look for your kitchen, bath, fireplace, or any number of other applications. Incorporated into our custom concrete mix are post-industrial recycled components that are by-products of the coal and steel industries. We add these to increase the overall strength of our countertops, and incidentally reduce landfill waste. We can add other post-industrial and post-consumer recycled products to augment both your project’s ecological advantages and its aesthetic appeal. All of the glass we use in our glass-aggregate mixes is 100% recycled and comes from local sources. Decorative glass aggregates are available from vendors across the United States, but we at Cabinetry & Construction, Inc. feel it is more earth-friendly to collect our own glass right here in Richmond and crush it to make our own aggregates.
